Kenneth H. Wischner

Kenneth H. Wischner, born on May 22, 1956, in Doylestown, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on July 17, 2026, in Easton, Pennsylvania. He was 70 years old.

Kenneth, fondly known to many as Ken, grew up in Sergeantsville, New Jersey, where he spent his formative years surrounded by the values of hard work, family connection, and rural life. He graduated with the Class of 1974 from Hunterdon Central Regional High School, an accomplishment that sparked the onset of a dedicated and industrious career.

Ken was a skilled and respected truck driver. Early in his career, he worked for Creter Vault Company and later continued his profession with H.K. Buzby & Sons in Lebanon, New Jersey, where he ultimately retired. Known for his reliability and navigational skills, he famously guided others even in unfamiliar territory without the aid of GPS, earning deep respect from family and friends alike.

Beyond his professional life, Ken’s personal passions shaped a richly layered existence. He deeply loved the outdoors, especially deer hunting and freshwater fishing—trout fishing held a special place in his heart. Among his most cherished adventures was a memorable hunting trip to Romania with close friends, where he successfully brought down a Romanian Stag, a story he recounted with pride. Ken also found joy in grilling and cooking, frequently preparing delicious meals for those he loved.

Family was central to Ken’s world. He delighted in playing catch and was a dedicated spectator at his daughter Megan’s softball games. He was proud to pass his knowledge of bow hunting and fishing on to his son Jason, regularly doing target practice in the yard together. He had a knack for storytelling and telling a good joke, he had a sharp sense of humor, and his ability to fix nearly anything made him the go-to handyman and entertainer in family gatherings. He took particular pride in excavating his own land for the construction of his home—a testament to his self-reliance and determination. His inventive spirit extended to making potato guns for family and friends, and he once fulfilled his desire to be a gunsmith by crafting his own rifle.

Ken enjoyed simple pleasures, like relaxing while watching classic westerns such as The Rifleman and Gunsmoke, reflecting a love for stories of resilience and adventure.

He is survived by his son, Jason Wischner of Saylorsburg PA; his daughter, Megan Stewart; his son-in-law, Colin Stewart of Wellington OH; and his sister, Carol Gray of Columbia NJ. He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Harold G. Wischner and Eleanor M. (Higgins) Wischner, whose memory he carried with him and honored throughout his life.

A man of resourcefulness, kindness, and humor, Kenneth H. Wischner leaves behind a legacy of cherished memories, practical wisdom, and enduring laughter in the hearts of those privileged to know him.

A graveside service to honor Kenneth’s life will be held at Rosemont Cemetery, 100 Kingwood Stockton Road, Stockton, NJ, on July 27, 2026, at 11:00 a.m.  There are no calling hours.
