John A. Paller, Jr., affectionately known as "Chip," passed away peacefully on November 21, 2025, in Hillsborough, New Jersey surrounded by his family. Born on October 16, 1953, in New Castle, Delaware, Chip was a cherished member of his family and a beloved friend to many. He had a strong Christian faith and fully trusted in his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Chip was a graduate of Hopewell Valley High School, where he completed his studies in the Class of 1973. His professional journey included a significant role at the former Comp USA, where he assembled and repaired computers. Following that, he served as a maintenance worker for the NJ Bar Association in New Brunswick, New Jersey, showcasing his dedication and skill in both technology and service.
Chip's warm personality was characterized by a calm demeanor, a generous spirit, and an unwavering caring nature. He was known for his good sense of humor and a big heart, always willing to lend his time and resources to those in need. Outside of work, he enjoyed indulging in his hobbies, which included reading science fiction novels and watching movies, particularly those in the science fiction genre and documentaries about World War II. Music from the 1970s and 80s also held a special place in his heart, often providing the soundtrack for his life.
He will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Michel (Palumbo) Paller of Piscataway, NJ; his brother, David E. Paller of Lambertville, NJ; his sister and brother-in-law, Ginny and Mike Dean of Pittstown, NJ; and his brother and sister-in-law, Thomas and Jennifer Paller of Kannapolis, NC. Chip is also remembered fondly by his nieces and nephews, Dain, Jennifer, Richard, and Megan, along with several cousins, great nieces, and great nephews who were honored to know him.
Chip is preceded in death by his father, John A. Paller, Sr. in 2021. As friends and family gather to celebrate his life, they will carry with them the memories of his kindness, laughter, and the many contributions he made to their lives. He leaves behind a legacy of love and compassion that will endure in the hearts of all who knew him.
