Elizabeth J. (Betty) Greaney passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 15, 2026, in North Wales, PA. She was 86 years old. A devoted homemaker, Betty lived a life dedicated to her family.
Born on August 11, 1939, in Kingwood Township, NJ, she was the oldest daughter of the late George and Elizabeth (Trafnik) Wizner. Betty resided in NJ most of her life, but moved to Perkasie, PA in her later years.
Betty had a wide array of interests that brought her joy. She loved to watch the birds eating at the feeders outside her window, especially one she named "Chuck," a beautiful red cardinal. She enjoyed crafting and playing Bingo with her friends at the Horsham Center where she resided for the past two years. Her indulgence was watching the game show network with anyone who would visit. One of her greatest delights was playing board games with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, moments that undoubtedly created lasting memories. Her love for animals showcased her kind heart and gentle spirit.
In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her sisters, Jacqueline Furman in 2003, and Christine O'Brien in 2024.
Surviving are her five children, Betty Jo (Bob) Galenkamp of Rockaway, NJ; Terry Bennett of Gorham, ME; Lenny (Sione) Greaney of Perkasie, PA; Joe (Angie) Greaney of Lansdale, PA; and Diana (John) Voltarelli of Denville, NJ. She had 11 grandchildren: Gene (Sarah) Rutzler, Elyssa Southworth, Danielle (Chris) VanNess, Katie (Josh) Halliday, Joe (Mary Kate) Bennett, Matt Bennett, Andrew Greaney, Amanda Greaney, Adriana Voltarelli, Anthony Voltarelli and Gabrielle Nelson-Manuatu. She also had 13 great-grandchildren: Savannah, Alexandria and Chrielle Van Ness, Darius and Jayden Evans, Seven and Landon Rutzler, Everett, Jack and Avery Bennett, Benjamin and Emma Bennett and Madilynn Halliday. She is also survived by two sisters: Marianne Smith of Whitehouse Station, NJ and Georgelyn Wizner of Hooksett, NH as well as many nieces and nephews.
She is remembered fondly by her family, who will treasure the love and laughter she brought into their lives.
A visitation will be held on Friday, January 30, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, located at 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. The funeral service will follow in the funeral home at 11:30 AM, and a graveside service will take place at St. Magdalen Cemetery, 86 North Main Street, Flemington, NJ, starting at 12:30 PM.
Betty's legacy of love, kindness, and devotion will forever remain in the hearts of her family and friends, and she will be deeply missed.
