Daniel J. Kasper, age 45 years, passed away on April 17, 2026, at the Hunterdon Medical Center in Raritan Township, NJ. Born on April 27, 1980, in Raritan Township, NJ, he was the son of Daniel G. Kasper and the late Helen "Sue" (Gasparetti) Kasper.
A graduate of North Hunterdon High School, Dan was an accomplished member of the marching band, initially playing the trumpet before leading the tuba section. Demonstrating a lifelong commitment to learning and reading, he earned his bachelor's degree in history from New England College. Beyond his academic pursuits, Dan was known for his passion for bicycling, often riding as far as 50 miles at a time throughout Hunterdon County. His enthusiasm for bicycles extended into his professional life, where he worked as a local bicycle repairman and maintenance expert. Additionally, he found joy in woodworking and maintaining a strong fitness regime.
Dan’s love for travel, especially throughout Europe, was among his proudest adventures. His journeys began with the high school marching band and continued into adulthood, allowing him to experience the rich cultures of the Czech Republic and Germany, including a memorable stay with a family in the Black Forest of southwest Germany.
Characterized by a kind and gentle soul, Dan was a man of warmth and generosity. He was deeply loving, particularly toward his family and his nephew, Arthur Fossey. Known for his courteous nature, he was often the first to hold the door open or offer a helping hand, embodying the selflessness that endeared him to many.
He is survived by his father, Daniel G. Kasper of Clinton Township, NJ; his sister, Jessica Kasper-Fossey, and her husband, Mark Fossey, of Aurora, CO; and his cherished nephew, Arthur Fossey. Daniel also leaves behind his maternal grandmother, Helen Gasparetti, of Sumter, SC, along with several aunts, uncles, and numerous cousins who will carry forward his memory with affection and respect.
Daniel was preceded in death by his mother; his paternal grandparents, Caroline Kasper, Gus Kasper and Aljeanette Kasper; and his maternal grandfather, Arnold Gasparetti.
