Walter E. Burtis, age 75 years, of Flemington, NJ, died on December 22, 2002 at the Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Township, NJ. Born in Ridgewood, NJ on December 21, 1927, he was the son of the late Alan Burtis and Anna (Bindschaedler) Burtis. Mr. Burtis was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army. He was the retired General Manager of Foodtown Stores. Walter is survived by his wife, Lynn (McGreivey) Burtis. Interment in Valleau Cemetery, Ridgewood, NJ.
