Virginia J. Dorio

Virginia J. Dorio, age 95 years, formerly of East Amwell Township (Woodsville), NJ, died Saturday, July 5, 2025, at Carnegie Post Acute Care, Princeton, NJ.

Virginia was born on September 18, 1929, in Trenton, NJ, daughter of the late Charles and Martha (Funk) Lamendola, and was a lifelong resident of Hunterdon County.

She was a graduate of Flemington High School, Class of 1947, and was a food processor at the Village Market and later at Fiddlers Creek Farm, both located in Hopewell NJ.  At one time she was also a telephone operator for N.J. Telephone Co. in Flemington, NJ.

Virginia was a communicant of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, Hopewell, NJ.

In addition to her parents, she was pre-deceased by her husband, Joseph Dorio, in 1998, and her brother, Russell Lamendola, in 2022.

Surviving are two sons and a daughter-in-law, Charles and Susan Dorio of Ewing, NJ and Joseph Dorio, of Flemington, NJ; and a grandson, Russell Dorio, many nieces and nephews and special friends.

Public graveside services will be held in Highland Cemetery, Hopewell, NJ, Tuesday, July 8, 2025, at 10:30 AM. There will be no calling hours.
