Vincent R. Cook

Vincent R. Cook, age 73 years. of Brookside Place, died Thursday, January 30, 1986 in Hunterdon Medical Center, Flemington.

Born in Hannibal, Mo., Mr. Cook was a resident of Newark before moving to Hunterdon County 38 years ago. He was a retired packaging engineer for Western Electric in Kearny.

Mr. Cook was a former Readington Township mayor and Readington Township committeeman. He was a former member of the Readington Township Planning Board and Readington-Lebanon Sewer Authority and was past-president of the Readington Township Board of Education.

He was a past exalted ruler of Flemington Elks Lodge No. 1928 and was a member of St. Elizabeth Seton Church of Three Bridges.

Surviving are his wife, Jean Strouse Cook; two sons, David Cook of Clarksville, NY, and Paul Cook of Ringoes; two daughters, Susan Harrell of Connecticut, and Debbie Cox of Old Bridge; and eight grandchildren.

Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, Flemington. Interment was in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Flemington.
