Thomas F. Morris, Jr., a devoted family man and a longtime resident of New Jersey, passed away peacefully in Ringoes, NJ, on September 26, 2025, at the age of 64. Born on October 20, 1960, in Newark, NJ, Tom led a fulfilling life marked by his strong connections with family and friends.
After dedicating 37 years to his career as an Actuator Assembler in the aerospace industry with the TransDigm Group, Tom retired, leaving behind a legacy of hard work and perseverance. He was a graduate of Irvington High School, Class of 1978.
Tom was a man of simple pleasures. He loved his NY Giants, spending his Sundays cheering on his favorite team. He enjoyed the simpler things in life—sipping on his favorite Miller beer, enjoying a cigarette, and making lasting memories, including a special family trip to Cocoa Beach, FL. His love for music also shone through in moments spent singing in rock-n-roll bands earlier in his life, as well as his affinity for classic rock, delighting in the sounds of groups like Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin and Kiss. He cherished family barbeques and get-togethers, finding joy in the every day moments with his loved ones.
Although Tom recently retired to the warm weather of Ocala, FL, his heart never really left the Garden State. He is survived by his loving mother, Joan (Smith) Morris of Whiting, NJ; his son and daughter-in-law, Shaun Morris and Kaitlin Meiser of Ringoes, NJ; his daughter, Ashley Morris of Fords, NJ; and his treasured grandsons, Holden, Finn, Bodhi, and Oliver. Thomas is also survived by his siblings: brother, Michael and sister-in-law, Harri Morris of Woodbridge, NJ; sister, Kathy and brother-in-law, Vinnie Sessa of Texas; sister, Lori and brother-in-law, Jeff Van Lenten of Whiting, NJ; along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins who loved him dearly.
Thomas joins his late father, Thomas F. Morris, Sr., in eternal rest. His memory will be honored by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
A viewing will be held on Friday, October 3, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, located at 147 Main St, Flemington, NJ, 08822. Tom's warmth, humor, and love for his family will forever remain in their hearts.
