Born in Jersey City, NJ on October 6, 1913, he was the son of James McAvoy and Mary Hill.

Mr. McAvoy was a professional engineer for many years.

Thomas was survived by his wife, Eileen (Little) McAvoy.

Interment in Holy Cross Cemetery, 340 Ridge Rd, North Arlington, NJ.
