Stephen G. Bortnyk, born on July 27, 1981, in Newark, NJ, passed away on August 28, 2025, in Raritan Township, NJ. He was a beloved figure among his family and friends, cherished for his warmth and kindness.

Stephen dedicated his professional life to the culinary arts, working as a butcher for Kings Supermarket in Whitehouse Station, NJ. His passion for his craft was evident, and he took pride in providing quality service to the community.

Outside of work, Stephen was passionate about various hobbies. He found joy in music and gaming, fostering friendships through shared interests. An avid fisherman, he delighted in the tranquility of fishing with his brother. Stephen also loved spending time at the beach, relishing the sun and surf.

He is survived by his brother, Taras B. Bortnyk; his sister, Dorothy Wuest, and her husband, Dennis; his fiancée, Alexis Yurasits; as well as one niece and one nephew who will forever hold his memory close to their hearts.

Stephen is preceded in death by his father, George Bortnyk, and his mother, Maria Bortnyk, who both instilled in him the values he carried throughout his life.

Stephen will be remembered not just for his professional endeavors and hobbies but more importantly for the love he shared with those around him. His spirit and enthusiasm for life will live on in the memories of his family and friends.
