Robert H. Schultz passed away on Tuesday, July 06, 2021, at the Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Township, NJ.
He was the son of the late Joseph and Irene Schultz. He was born on March 18, 1931, in Newark, NJ, and spent his youth in Hillside, NJ, and raised his family in Flemington, NJ.
He proudly served in the United States Navy during the Korean War conflict. Robert was a mold maker by trade for fifty years and co-founded Circle Mold and Machine in Green Brook Township, NJ. He was a member of the USS Benham Association, the USS Hale, the Tin Can Sailors, LSM/LSMR Association, the American Legion, and the Flemington VFW Post 7856.
He is pre-deceased by two brothers, William Schultz, and Richard Schultz.
Surviving are his wife of sixty four years, Theresa Walker Schultz; son and daughter-in-law, Joseph and Carol Schultz of Lebanon, NJ; a son, Steve Schultz of Middletown, NY; daughter and son-in-law, Kathryn and David Fabiano of Ringoes, NJ, and daughter and son-in-law, Terri and Timothy Alles of Raritan, NJ. Also surviving are granddaughter Jennifer and her husband, Major Filiberto Martinez, and great-grandson Brock Martinez of Alaska, granddaughter Amanda and her husband, Christopher McDonald, of California, and granddaughters, Jessica and Danielle Fabiano of Ringoes, NJ and several nieces and nephews.
He was a proud American and a true patriot. He loved the outdoors, hunting and the Navy.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, July 9, 2021 at 11:00 AM in St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 105 Summer Road, Three Bridges, NJ, under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will follow in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Capner Street, Flemington, NJ. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, July 8, 2021 from 5:00-8:00 PM in funeral home.
Memorial contributions in Robert’s name may be made to the National Rifle Association, 11250 Waples Mill Road, Fairfax, VA 22030, or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
