Richard W. Presser, a cherished member of the community, passed away on December 6, 2025, in Clinton Township, NJ, at the age of 73. Born on July 9, 1952, in Newark, NJ, Richard spent his formative years in the Hillsborough/Neshanic Station area, where he crafted a life filled with meaningful relationships and a diverse range of interests.
Throughout his career, Richard dedicated himself to the skilled trade of carpentry, notably as a trade carpenter for Heartland Industries in Hillsborough, NJ, where he specialized in building sheds and garages. His entrepreneurial spirit led him to briefly manage a pool store, where he not only built decks but also engaged in swimming pool maintenance. In addition, he enjoyed operating a kettle corn business, delighting many in the community.
Richard's commitment to service extended beyond his professional endeavors; he proudly served in the United States Air Force, a chapter of his life that instilled a sense of discipline and purpose.
An avid fisherman and remote controls aficionado, Richard found joy in building remote control cars and planes, reflecting his inventive and hands-on personality. He embraced rural life by raising various farm animals, including sheep, raccoons, ducks, and chickens, showcasing his love for nature. A devoted cat lover, Richard also formed lasting bonds with many pets over the years.
Richard is survived by his sons, Richard W. Presser, Jr. of Burkburnett, TX, and Robert M. Presser of Florida; his grandson, Shane Bolf; and two great-grandchildren. He is also lovingly remembered by his sisters, Linda Pirozzi of Harrisburg, PA, and Katherine Traynor of Three Bridges, NJ, as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins who cherished their time with him.
Predeceased by Karen Presser and his parents, Roy F. and Audrey E. (Gearl) Presser, and his sister, Suanne P. Presser, who passed away in 2019, Richard leaves behind a legacy of hard work, family values, and a zest for life that will be fondly remembered by all who knew him. His contributions to both his family and the community will continue to resonate in the hearts of those he touched.
Visitation for Richard will be held on Friday, December 19, 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main St, Flemington NJ 08822. Funeral service at the funeral home will held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, December 20, 2025, followed by interment in Three Bridges Cemetery, 470 Main St., Three Bridges NJ 08887.
