Richard Halstead

Richard Halstead, age 70 years, of East Amwell Township, NJ, died on Saturday, October 28, 2006, in the Hunterdon Care Center, Raritan Township, NJ.

Born in Philadelphia, PA, October 27, 1936, he was the son of the late Ralph and Mary Ellen Adler Halstead. He was a longtime resident of East Amwell.

He was a self-employed farmer and construction worker. He was a school bus driver for the Readington Township Schools for many years before retiring.

He was a member of the Moose Lodge, Raritan Township, NJ, the American Legion Post #159, Flemington, NJ, and was an avid Nascar racing fan.

He is survived by his wife of forty-one years, Doris Allegar Halstead, and a sister, Ellen Wood of Honolulu, HI.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, November 4, 2006 at 11:30 AM in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will be private in Three Bridges Cemetery, Three Bridges, NJ. There will be no calling hours.
