Rebecca Lois Camenzind

Rebecca Lois Camenzind, affectionately known as Becky, passed away on October 26, 2025, at her home in Kingwood Township, New Jersey. Born on October 24, 1950, in Somerville, New Jersey, Becky touched the lives of many during her 75 years on this earth.

Becky dedicated a significant part of her life to her career, serving as a receptionist at the Emergency Department of Hunterdon Medical Center before retiring from her role as the receptionist at Hunterdon Family Practitioners in Flemington. Her professionalism and friendly demeanor were often noted by patients and colleagues alike, reflecting her deep commitment to the well-being of others.

In addition to her professional accomplishments, Becky was an avid reader who found joy and solace in books. She enjoyed socializing, crocheting, and cooking—activities that allowed her to connect with family and friends while sharing her talents and nurturing her loved ones. She was also proud of her contributions as a volunteer at the Hunterdon County Library, where she shared her love for reading with the community.

Becky is survived by her loving husband, Joseph Camenzind, III; her son, Joseph Camenzind, IV; her daughter, Marsha E. Apfell; her grandson, Richard Simpson, III; and her sister, Marsha Wyss, as well as several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Patrick Zielsdorff; her brother, William Zielsdorff; and her sisters, Jane Ellen Zielsdorff and Nancy Lee Zielsdorff. Each of those relationships shaped not only Becky's life but also the lives of those who cherished her.

Visitation will be held on November 1, 2025, from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM at Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, located at 147 Main St, Flemington, NJ 08822. A memorial service officiated by the Rev. Dianna Stone will follow at 2:00 PM at the funeral home.

Becky's memory will forever remain alive in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. Her kindness, compassion, and unwavering spirit will leave an indelible mark on the lives she touched.
