Rachel Q. Van Lieu

Rachel Van Lieu, age 96 years, of Raritan Township, NJ, died on Monday, January 10, 2005 in the Hunterdon Care Center, Raritan Township, NJ.

Born in East Amwell Township, NJ, June 5, 1908, daughter of the late John H. and Mary Hoffman Van Lieu, she had resided in Flemington, NJ for fifty years and in Raritan Township since 1999.

A graduate of Flemington High School and the Philadelphia College of the Bible, she was formerly employed by See-Landis Insurance Agency, Flemington, NJ; Yeaton & Yeaton Insurance Agency, Flemington, NJ; and retired in 1983 from First Fidelity Bank, Flemington, NJ.

She was a member of the First English Presbyterian Church, Reaville, NJ and the Rug Guild of Hunterdon County.

Surviving are nieces and nephews; great-nieces and nephews; and great-great nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, January 12, 2005 at 2 p.m. in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will follow in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, Reaville, NJ. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 1-2 p.m. in the Funeral Home.
