Philip Monahan, age 78 years, of Doylestown, PA, passed away the morning of Friday, June 14, 2024, at Doylestown Hospital. Born in New York City, NY, November 16, 1945, he was the son of the late Philip E. and Florence M. (Duda) Monahan.
He had formerly resided in Harrison, NJ, where he was a 1963 graduate of Harrison High School. In 1968, he married Roberta (Hango) Monahan, and the pair raised their children in Hillsborough, NJ, later moving to Bucks County, PA.
Philip was formerly employed in trucking sales and then property management for Continental Property Management, Warrington, PA for many years.
He was a member of the Sons of the American Legion Post 120, Lambertville, NJ.
In his spare time, he enjoyed traveling, making memorable trips to Ireland, Paris, France, and going on a Danube River cruise. Moreover, he loved listening to the music of the ratpack and Frank Sinatra and in his younger years he liked playing golf.
A social butterfly, Philip was a staple in his retirement community. He was one-of-a-kind, and someone who enjoyed a good time, always the last to leave the party.
Above all, he will be remembered as an excellent grandfather to his grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife of 52 years, Roberta Monahan, who died in 2020; as well as his brother, Charles Monahan, who also passed in 2020.
Surviving are his children: Jennifer Amorosi (Andrew Amorosi) of Whitehouse Station, NJ and Kevin Monahan (Suzanne Lynch Monahan) of New Hope, PA; and his grandchildren: Gabriella Amorosi, Juliana Amorosi, and Madison Monahan. He loved them dearly.
