Patricia A. Quinlan, age 87 years, of Raritan Township, NJ passed away on Monday, July 12, 2021, at Capital Health Systems – Fuld Campus, Trenton, NJ.
Born in the Bronx, NY on January 28, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Agnes Hecht Gormley. She had resided in the Flemington area for nearly thirty years, having previously lived in Yonkers, NY.
She was formerly employed as a receptionist for Hunterdon Hospice. Additionally, in her spare time she enjoyed volunteering at both Saint Magdalen RC Church and the Hunterdon Medical Center in Flemington. She was known for crocheting hundreds of baby sweaters and blankets each year for the hospital, something she was honored to do.
Her family remembers her as a strong-spirited woman who remained active late into her life. In fact, in retirement she enjoyed going out with friends, shopping, traveling to Ireland twice with her siblings, and faithfully playing bingo and bunco. She was a loving mother and Nana and enjoyed spending time with family more than anything.
She was predeceased by her husband, Timothy J. Quinlan, Sr., who died in 1999, as well as her sister, Peggy, and her brother, Chuck.
Surviving are her four children and their spouses, Michael and Denise Quinlan, of Georgia, Timothy J. Quinlan, Jr., of Raritan Township, NJ, Steven and Julie Quinlan, of Yonkers, NY, and Linda and Mike Barile, of Raritan Township, NJ; seven grandchildren: Michael Jr., Kristine, Jennifer, Sean, Michael, Kevin, and John; as well as eight great-grandchildren. Lastly, she is survived by two siblings, Thomas Gormley and Terry Doherty.
