OBITUARY
Services for Oscar H. Van Lieu, 89, of Jonestown, Pa., a former New Jersey resident, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main St., Flemington.
Mr. Van Lieu, who died Friday at home, was a farmer in Hunterdon County and in Hamlin, Pa.
Born in Ringoes, he lived in Hamlin before moving to Jonestown.
Surviving are Margaret, his wife of 63 years; sons, Richard and Thomas; daughters, Jean Leichte, Nancy Cramer, Irene Kuhl, Katherine Smith and Pamelia Bordner; a sister, Rachel; 18 grandchildren and nine great- grandchildren.

Oscar H. Van Lieu, 89, of Jonestown, Pa., died Friday, Aug. 16, 2002,
in his home.
Born: March 13, 1913, in Ringoes, N.J., a son of the late John and
Mary Hoffman Van Lieu.
Personal: He resided in Ringoes until 1966, when he moved to
Jonestown.
He was a life-long farmer.
Survivors: his wife, Margaret Kaim Van Lieu; two sons, Richard and
Thomas; five daughters, Lean Leichte, Nancy Cramer, Irene Kuhl,
Katherine Smith and Pamelia Bordner; a sister, Rachel Van Lieu; 18
grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Services: 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main
St., Flemington. Call from 12:30 to time of services in the funeral
home. Burial in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, Reaville, N.J.

Oscar H. Van Lieu, 89, of Jonestown died of natural causes Friday, Aug. 16, 2002, in his home. He was the husband of Margaret Kaim Van Lieu, to whom he had been married 63 years.
Born March 13, 1913, in Ringoes, N.J., he was the son of the late John and Mary Hoffman Van Lieu. He retired as a farmer and was a member of Jonestown Bible Church.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are two sons, Richard, husband of Carol Van Lieu, Burke, N.Y.; and Thomas, husband of Brenda Van Lieu, Jonestown; five daughters, Jean, wife of Gus Leichte, Black Mountain, N.C.; Nancy, wife of Robert F. Cramer, Rosemont, N.J.; Irene, wife of Fred Kuhl, Ringoes, N.J.; Katherine, wife of Mitchel Smith, Lee's Summit, Mo.; and Pamela, wife of Steven Bordner, Millersburg; a sister, Rachel Van Lieu, Flemington, N.J.; 18 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Thelma Van Lieu; four brothers, Russel, Clifford and John Hart, and Ernest Van Lieu; and a sister, Alice Makin.
Services will be held at 8 p.m. Monday, Aug. 19, at Strauss-Kreamer & Lum Funeral Home, 48 W. Market St., Jonestown, preceded by a visitation beginning at 7.
