Megan Elizabeth Greene, 38, passed away peacefully on January 6, 2022 surrounded by her family after a long illness. Meg, the daughter of Alan and Karen (Flesher) Greene, was born on July 20, 1983 in South Plainfield, New Jersey, the first of a set of twins. The family moved to and resided in Hunterdon County, New Jersey for many years, before relocating to Connecticut in 1998 while Meg was in high school.
Meg attended Penn State University, where she earned a BA in Psychology. Meg later earned a law degree from Western Michigan University Cooley Law School, and an LLM in Taxation from Temple University. After she graduated law school, Meg joined the Internal Revenue Service, Office of Taxpayer Advocate, where she worked for many years.
Meg was an avid football fan and was always true to her Nittany Lions and New York Giants. Meg also loved the ocean, having spent many summers with her family down the shore in Lavallette, New Jersey. She did not miss an opportunity to go for a swim, walk on the boardwalk, or get a tan. Meg enjoyed many of these special times with her identical twin sister, Erin, with whom she shared a special bond. Although she did not have any children of her own, Meg was overjoyed when Erin welcomed a son, Logan, last year. Meg relished in being an aunt and she Facetimed with Logan nearly every day.
Meg was fiercely loyal to those she cared about, and she had a charismatic personality that could fill a room. Her loss leaves a void in many lives that will never be filled.
Megan is survived by her parents, Alan and Karen Greene of Guilford, CT; her sister, Erin Greene, and her son Logan, of Stockton, NJ; her sister, Maura Taylor and her husband Mitchell, of West Chester, PA; her beloved dog, Sullivan; her Uncle David Flesher, and his wife Maria, of Bremerton, WA, and many cousins, colleagues, and friends. She is predeceased by her maternal grandparents, Edward and Marion (Walsh) Flesher; and her paternal grandparents, Joseph and Lillian (Nadeau) Greene; her paternal Uncles, Joseph Greene and Richard Greene; and her paternal Aunt, Shirley Greene.
