Born in Flemington, NJ on December 2, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Rufus B. Mathews and Mabel Kugler.

She was a teacher at the Hobby Horse Nursery School in Flemington, NJ.

Mary was survived by her husband, David C. Dilts, of Flemington, NJ.
