Mary Louise Carocci, age 82 years, of Flemington, NJ and Dover Township, NJ, died Sunday, January 16, 2005 at her home in Flemington.

Born in Melrose, Iowa, October 26, 1922, daughter of the late William E. and Cecelia Ward Parks, she had formerly resided in Newark, NJ and had resided in Flemington thirty years.

During World War II, she was an administrative assistant with the Marshall Plan and was also an Assistant Children's librarian at the Vailsburg Library, Newark, NJ.

Mrs. Carocci was a communicant of St. Magdalen Church, Flemington, NJ and a member of it's Rosary and Altar Society. She was also a member of the Needlework Guild of Hunterdon County, the Deborah Hospital Foundation, the Friends of the Hunterdon County Library and the Italian American Heritage Club of Hunterdon County.

Surviving are her husband of fifty-four years, Thomas F. Carocci; a daughter, Molly Carocci of Concord, MA; four sisters, Angeline Paveglio of Knoxville, Iowa, Teresa Lawson of Ottumwa, Iowa, Elizabeth Burke of Denver, CO and Patricia Bush of Chesapeake, MD; a brother, Robert Parks of Billings, Montana; and many nieces and nephews. Two sisters, Rose Rice and Ceil Spears and a brother, James Parks, pre-deceased her.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. in St. Magdalen Church, 105 Mine Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover, NJ. Calling hours will be held Tuesday from 7-9 p.m. and Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ.
