Born in Trenton, NJ on November 22, 1917, he was the son of the late Martin J. Hastings, Sr., and Emma Bateman.

Mr. Hastings worked as a Carpet Installer at Rug Mart in Flemington, NJ.

Martin was survived by his wife, Ethel (Van Marter) Hastings, of Flemington, NJ.

Interment in Union Cemetery, Boss Road, Ringoes, NJ.
