Marie Pheobe Schwab: A Life of Dedication and Love
On October 5, 2023, the world bid farewell to a truly remarkable soul, Marie Pheobe Schwab. Born on May 25, 1929, Marie lived a life full of love, dedication, and perseverance.
Marie was a pillar of strength and resilience, navigating life's challenges with grace and a fierce determination. As the backbone of the Schwab family, her presence was a constant source of comfort and guidance. Although her exterior might have shown toughness, beneath it was a heart overflowing with love, compassion, and generosity.
Marie was an active member of the East Amwell Board of Education, dedicating five years of service to the betterment of the community's youth. Her love for the land was evident in the six decades she spent as the proud landowner of Top of Ridge Farm. She worked diligently for 26 years as a dairy farmer, a testament to her hardworking nature and commitment.
Her green fingers brought beauty and vitality wherever she went. As an accomplished gardener, she transformed spaces into serene retreats. Beyond farming and gardening, Marie was an enthusiastic YMCA aqua aerobic participant, always eager to stay active and lead a healthy lifestyle.
Marie was predeceased by her loving husband, Floyd Milton Schwab. Their bond was a testament to true love and partnership. Together, they raised a beautiful family: Cathy Schwab, her eldest daughter, who predeceased her in June of 2023, Clifford Schwab and wife Joy, Linda Haughey and her husband, Dennis, Wendy Dejneka and her husband, Andrew, Marianne Busher and her husband, Edward, and Eric Schwab and his wife, Judy. Her legacy continues with eight cherished grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Today, as the angels embrace Marie, we mourn the loss of our beloved matriarch. We are eternally grateful for the memories we shared, lessons learned, and the love that radiated from her every day. Our hearts are heavy, but we find solace knowing she is reunited with Floyd and watching over us.
Please join us in celebrating Marie's life, remembering her legacy, and cherishing the moments she blessed us with. Your thoughts and prayers for the Schwab family during this time of grief are deeply appreciated.
In lieu of flowers, the Schwab family graciously requests donations to be made in Marie's honor to [Autism New Jersey]( https://autismnj.org/donate/ ).
