Laura M. Bush

"Laura M. Bush died Friday, Sept. 13, 1996, at Rolling Hills of Hunterdon Care Center in Clinton Township. She was 88. She was born in Flemington, a daughter of Gabriel and Bessie Latourette Hall, and was a lifelong borough resident. Mrs. Bush was a member of Flemington Baptist Church and Ashler Chapter of Order of the Eastern Star of Pennington. Her husband, former mayor of Flemington, John Bush, Jr. died in 1977. Surviving are a daughter, Shirley Van Derveer of Whitehouse Station; a son, John Bush III of Flemington; a sister, Freida Van Fleet of Flemington; four brothers, Alfred and Robert Hall, both of Flemington, Dothard Hall of Trenton and Jack Hall of Hopewell; seven grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Tuesday at Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home of Flemington. Interment was at Rural Hill Cemetery in Whitehouse."[Hunterdon County Democrat, Thurs., Sept. 19, 1996, p. A-17.]
