Kenneth Thorne, passed away on Wednesday, October 28, 2026, in Flemington, New Jersey. He was born on November 3, 1967, in Somerville, New Jersey.
Kenneth will be remembered as a wonderful family man who embraced life with energy and enthusiasm. He loved his family immensely. He found joy in snowboarding, lacrosse, golfing, and cooking. He also loved riding motorcycles and quads, and traveling, pursuits that reflected both his adventurous spirit and his enjoyment of time shared with others. What he loved the most was his people and making them laugh. This all painted the picture of a full and active life, one marked by movement, connection, and a simple pleasures that became cherished memories and a legacy for those left behind.
One of his greatest legacies is the tile contracting business he started 35 years ago, Atlantic Tile & Marble. He can now be very proud of his sons, Steven and Nick who are taking over the business and his son, David for starting an electrical contracting business. He guided them well and his influence will live on.
Above all, Kenneth’s life was grounded in family. He is survived by his beloved wife, Annabella Appiano, and by his sons, David Thorne, Steven Thorne, and Nicholas Thorne. He is also survived by his mother, Elaine Thorne, and by his brothers, David Thorne and Christopher Thorne. Each of them carries forward the memory of his presence, his interests, and the many moments they shared together.
He was preceded in death by his father, Derek Thorne, whose memory remained part of Kenneth’s life and family story.
