Kathleen A. Carroll

Kathleen A. Carroll, a devoted educator and cherished member of her family, passed away on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, in Raritan Township, New Jersey. Born on May 31, 1931, in Pautucket, Rhode Island, Kathleen was a bright light in the lives of those who knew and loved her.

With a passion for teaching and a deep commitment to her students, Kathleen dedicated many years of her career to the Rhode Island College of Education and the Rhode Island Public School System. Her academic journey led her to obtain a Master’s degree in special education, a testament to her desire to help every learner succeed and thrive.

Kathleen will be lovingly remembered by her nephew, Christopher Kunkel of Hopewell, NJ, who held a special place in her heart. She also leaves behind a legacy marked by her unwavering dedication to education and the countless lives she touched throughout her career.

She was predeceased by her father, Patrick Joseph Carroll, and her mother, Mary Towhey, who instilled in her the values of hard work and compassion that guided her life and career.
