Karl Lackemacher, age 79 years, of Flemington, NJ, died Saturday, September 23, 2023, surrounded by family, at Morristown Memorial Hospital, Morristown, NJ.
Born in Rahway, NJ, on February 2, 1944, son of the late William and Theresa (Haggerty) Lackemacher, Karl had resided in Clinton, NJ, before moving to the Flemington area in 1970.
Karl formerly owned and operated KTL Title Agency, Flemington, NJ, for many years before retiring in 2003. After retirement from the title agency, he renovated several homes in Flemington and also renovated and managed the Deats Building, Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Karl could be found daily around town while he made his rounds through the Deats Building and to the Post Office.
While residing in Clinton, NJ, Karl was a councilman for the Town of Clinton. After moving to the Flemington area, he was an active member of the Flemington Community Partnership. Karl had several hobbies, which included collecting stamps, woodworking, and working on antique chairs. Karl has been a dedicated member of the Coryell Ferry Stamp Club since 2010.
Surviving are his wife of forty-five years, Susan Eastment Lackemacher; three children, Laura Curran, Jarrod Lackemacher, and Michael (Cheryl) Lackemacher; a step-daughter, Michelle Condit; four grandchildren, Jessica Bowes, Amanda (Joseph) Walsh, William Ellis, Abigail Ellis, and Benjamin Ellis; two great grandchildren, Kayla Walsh, and Carly Walsh; a sister, Jane Starets and a brother, Paul Lackemacher.
Karl was an outstanding husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend. He adored his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren immensely.
There will be a public visitation, Thursday, October 5, 2023, from 4:00 PM-6:00 PM at the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ.
