John "Mac" D. McCarthy, age 72 years, of Flemington, NJ, died on March 27, 2002 at his home in Franklin Township, NJ. Born in Staten Island, NY on March 9, 1930, he was the son of the late George Koffman and Minnie McCarthy. Mr. McCarthy was a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the U.S. Navy from 1947-1954. He was a retired FDNY firefighter, working in NYC. John is survived by his wife, Claire (Pratt) McCarthy. Interment in Locust Grove Cemetery, Quakertown, NJ.
