John Lawrence Hess, Sr., age 44 years, of East Amwell Township, NJ, died January 1, 1984 in Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Township.

Born September 15, 1939 in Ridley Park, PA, he was the son of Amos O. and Helen (MacLarnon) Hess. Mr. Hess was a staff supervisor for AT&T, Basking Ridge, NJ.

He was survived by his wife, Dolores (Scaringe) Hess.

Funeral services were held in Phoenixville, PA. Interment was in St. Mary's Cemetery, Phoenixville.
