John J. McGinty, age 53 years, of Williams Township, NJ, died on Tuesday, April 1, 2008, at his home.
Born in Philadelphia, PA, July 16, 1954, he was the son of James T. and Anne G. Woodring McGinty of New Hope, PA. He had formerly resided in Bethlehem Township, Hunterdon County, NJ.
Mr. McGinty was a Sergeant with the New Jersey Department of Corrections, Edna Mahon Correctional Facility, Clinton, NJ.
Mr. McGinty was a graduate of the Culinary Arts Institute, New York.
Surviving, in addition to his parents, are his wife, Sylvia Castanedo McGinty; and four brothers: James T. McGinty of Phoenixville, PA, Gary P. McGinty of Warminster, PA, Daniel P. McGinty of Churchville, PA, and Matthew M. McGinty of Warminster, PA.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday at 2 PM in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will be private. Calling hours will be held on Saturday from 1-2 PM in the funeral home.
