John J. Matthews, age 91 years, of Raritan Township, NJ, died on May 4, 1980 in the Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Township, NJ.

Born in Elizabeth, NJ on August 11, 1888, he was the son of the late John J. Matthews and Mary Hiney.

Mr. Matthews was formerly employed by the Hunterdon County Tax Board.

He was survived by his wife, Grace (Aker) Matthews, of Raritan Township.

Interment in Evergreen Cemetery, 1137 N Broad St, Hillside, NJ.
