Born in Atlantic City, NJ on November 10, 1893, he was the son of the late Joseph H. Bevis and Emma Jane Stephens.

Mr. Bevis was a veteran of World War I.

He was a retired carpenter.

John was survived by his wife, Helen (Klee) Bevis.

Interment in Rock Church Cemetery, Mount Airy, NJ.
