Born in Paterson, NJ on February 13, 1935, she was the daughter of Ernest Matthews and Jean Napareno. She worked as a clerk for the United Telephone Company in Clinton, NJ. Joan was survived by her husband, Laurance Hambleton. Interment in Prospect Hill Cemetery, 69 Capner Street, Flemington, NJ.
