Joan C. Cinquegrana, age 81 years, of Clinton Township, NJ, passed away on Wednesday, July 14, 2021, at home surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Brooklyn, NY on November 19, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Antoinette Sarli Carbone. She had resided in Hunterdon County, NJ for the past forty-one years, having previously lived in Brooklyn, NY.
Joan attended Brooklyn College where she majored in English. As a young woman she worked for AAA, and later in life, along with her husband Nicholas, owned and operated “Central Limousine” limousine business in Clinton for many years.
She was a woman of many talents. In fact, she played classical piano and loved to sing and create art. She was the quintessential “handy-woman”, who loved taking on DIY home projects.
She was predeceased by her parents as well as her brother, Frank Carbone.
Surviving is her husband of nearly fifty-five years, Nicholas B. Cinquegrana, of Clinton Township, NJ; her three children, Michael R. Cinquegrana and wife Asha, Lynn A. Conover and husband Bryan, and Lauren A. Rodriguez; as well as her three grandchildren, Brandon N. Rodriguez, Serena M. Rodriguez, and Brynn N. Conover.
There will be a visitation on Monday, July 19, 2021, from 5:00-8:00 PM in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Additionally, friends and family may call again the next day on Tuesday, July 20, 2021, from 9:30-10:30 AM in the funeral home. This will be followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM in Saint Magdalen RC Church, 105 Mine Street, Flemington, NJ. Entombment next to her parents will take place on Wednesday, July 21, 2021, at 11:00 AM in St. John's Cloister Mausoleum, Middle Village, Queens, NY.
