Janice M. Cooper, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on August 3, 2025, in Flemington, New Jersey. Born on March 21, 1957, in Teaneck, New Jersey, daughter of the late James J. and Eveyln (Zeidler) Greenwood, Janice devoted her life to her family behind a legacy of kindness.
Janice's cherished role was being at home with her children while they were young. She later had a career as a Department Manager for Walmart, as well as dedicating several years to the lunch program for the Flemington Raritan Regional School System.
A graduate of Hunterdon Central Regional High School, Class of 1975, Janice carried the values of hard work with her throughout her life. Known for her selfless nature, she took exceptional care of her mother for over 10 years until her passing earlier in 2025, exemplifying the love and commitment she had for her family.
Janice found joy in simple pleasures, from buying scratch-off lottery tickets to watching her favorite Court TV programs. She loved the outdoors, especially fishing and spending summer vacations at LBI in Beach Haven with her family. She enjoyed spending time with her sisters, baking during the holidays and shopping for her grandchildren. Some of her proudest moments were spent with her grandchildren, Peighton and Logan, attending countless sporting events such as football, wrestling and dance recitals. Her support was a constant source of encouragement.
Janice is survived by her husband Henry, with whom she shared over 45 years of marriage, her daughter and son-in-law, Carissa and Jeff Rotunno of Perkasie, Pennsylvania, her son Marcus Cooper of Flemington, New Jersey, and her grandchildren Peighton and Logan.
Janice leaves behind her loving siblings, her sister Gail (Henry Wittenberg) of Moorestown, New Jersey, and her twin sister, Cynthia (Alan Slovitt) of Flemington, New Jersey, along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins, all of whom will carry her memory in their hearts.
Janice M. Cooper led a life filled with love and laughter. Her spirit and dedication to her family will be remembered fondly by all who knew her. She will be dearly missed, yet her legacy will live on in the lives she touched and the memories she created.
A private memorial gathering will be planned for a later date.
