Frank Ruben Bishop, Jr.

Frank Ruben Bishop, Jr., age 84 years, of Raritan Township, NJ, died on Sunday, August 28, 2005, in the Veterans Administration Hospital, Lyons, NJ.

Born in Vicksburg, MS, September 2, 1920, he was the son of the late Frank R. Bishop, SR. and Lona Farley Bishop. He had formerly resided in El Paso, TX, and Jackson, MS, before moving to Raritan Township, NJ in 1997.

He served in the United States Air Force for twenty-three years, attaining the rank of Senior Master Sergeant. He was a veteran of World War II and the Korean War.

He is survived by his wife of sixty-two years, Jeanette Noble Bishop; two daughters, Brenda Poston of Flemington, NJ, and Donna Barringer of Flemington, NJ; a son, Frank R. Bishop III, of Alamargordo, NM; a sister, Thelma Day of Palm Beach, FL; five grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.

Graveside Services will be held on Thursday at 11 AM in the Prospect Hill Cemetery, Flemington, NJ, under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ.
