Frank Rovinski

Frank Rovinski, age 85 years, of Raritan Township, NJ, peacefully passed away on Monday evening, September 28, 2026, at Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Township, NJ. Born on October 7, 1940, in Wilkes-Barre, PA, he was the son of the late Frank and Mary (Miller) Rovinski. Frank had made the Flemington, NJ area his home for the past sixty-four years.

A gifted high school quarterback, Frank played football and earned his degree from King's College, Wilkes-Barre, PA. He furthered his education with master's degrees from Vanderbilt University and Rutgers University.

Frank dedicated much of his professional life to education, serving as principal at Readington Middle School, where he left a lasting impact before retiring. After retirement, he continued to serve the community, working at Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home in Flemington for fifteen years. Frank also volunteered at Hunterdon Medical Center, was an avid Philadelphia Eagles fan, and took great pride in growing his garden tomatoes.

Frank is survived by his beloved wife of fifty-eight years, Shirley (Saums) Rovinski; his sister, Connie Hodakowski of Marshfield, MA; two nieces, Shelly Payer and Kristi Belanger; along with a great-niece and a great-nephew.
