Born in Traverse City, Michigan on November 5, 1906, he was the son of the late Jay Dewitt Stedman and Emma (Buzzard) Stedman. "Bud" was an engineer who worked for Exxon Mobil Corporation in Linden, NJ. He was twice widowed. The burial was private.
