Born in Ringoes, NJ on January 1, 1905, he was the son of the late Harrison Godown and Lena Wyckoff.

Mr. Godown served as a Lieutenant in the United States Merchant Marines.

Interment in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, Old York Road, Ringoes, NJ.
