Florence M. Gwaltney

Florence M. Gwaltney, 82, of Flemington, N.J., a former Peoria, IL resident for many years, died Friday, March 19, 1993, at Hunterdon Medical Center in Raritan Township, N.J. Born April 4, 1910, in Canton, IL to Thomas N. and Ida May Demoss Berry, she married Eugene Gwaltney. He died in 1983. Surviving are one son, Thomas of Houston; two daughters, Frances K. Carver of Flemington and Linda Forbes of Dallas; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Edith Clark of Canton and Corda Barnett of Peoria.

She was a former sales clerk for Szolds Department Store in Peoria. She lived in Hemet, Calif., before moving to Flemington four years ago. She attended Grace Fellowship Evangelical Free Church in Alexandria Township, N.J. Services were private and under the direction of Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, Flemington.

Burial was in Springdale Cemetery, Peoria, IL.
