Elmer Clarence Ramsey, age 82, of Farmville VA, died Sunday, April 3, 2022 at Appomattox Health & Rehabilitation Center in Virginia.
Born April 28, 1939, in Somerville NJ, Clarence was the son of the late Willard and Lillian (Hunt) Ramsey. He grew up on his family farm in Lebanon NJ and then moved to Washington NJ before eventually moving to Farmville VA nearly 15 years ago.

When living in New Jersey, Elmer would occasionally go deer hunting with friends. He was a vendor and attended many NJ Flea Markets in New Jersey and enjoyed playing a good game of Bingo in Virginia. Elmer loved all kinds of animals, was a fan of Country and Western music, and enjoyed watching golf or a NASCAR race (where he was a fan of Tony Stewart), on television.
In addition to his parents, Elmer was predeceased by a sister when he was young, and recently by his favorite dappled short-hair dachshund, Jackie. He is survived by his close friends, Richard and Judy Oren of Farmville VA (formerly of NJ) who cared for him deeply.
