Elizabeth E. Sutphin

Elizabeth E. Sutphin, age 62 years, of Ringoes, NJ, died October 3, 2017 in the Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Township.

Born in Flemington, she had resided in the area all her life.

She was a teacher for 40 years, and school librarian when she retired from the East Amwell School district two years ago.

She was a graduate of Flemington High School, class of 1935, and Trenton State College, Class of 1939.

She was a member and treasurer of the United First Presbyterian Church of Amwell at Larison's Corner and a member of the Women's Association of the church. She was a member of the Ringoes Grange No. 12 and The Retired Teacher's Association.

Surviving are her father, Harold B. Everitt of Flemington; her husband, H. Allan Sutphin; a son, Norman Sutphin of Houston, Texas; a daughter, Janice Sutphin of Plainsboro, and a sister, Rith Wieland of Philadelphia.

Services were held in the United First Presbyterian Church of Amwell, Larison's Corner. Interment was in Amwell Ridge Cemetery, Larison's Corner.
