Elizabeth “Betty” Kopp, age 78 years, of Flemington, NJ, died on Monday, November 27, 2023, at the Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Township, NJ.
Born in Dunmore, PA, June 3, 1945, she was the daughter of the late John and Catherine Kleber. Betty had been a resident of the Flemington area since 1984. She had formerly resided in Baptistown, NJ.
She was a graduate of Manville High School and was formerly employed by Lipton Tea, Flemington, NJ, then was the office manager for the contractor, Thomas Stryker, Quakertown, NJ, and finally finished her career as the Raritan Township tax collector.
Betty was a sixty-year member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Flemington, and was formerly active in the Stephen Ministry of the church and was also a former Sunday School Teacher there. In addition, she was a former member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Kingwood Township Rescue Squad.
Surviving are her husband of sixty years, Edward L. Kopp; her son, Edward L. Kopp, Jr. and his wife April of Flemington, NJ, a daughter, Christine M. Kopp of Flemington, NJ; a grandson, Brandon Kopp of Flemington, NJ; three step-brothers, Billy Redstone of Colorado Springs, CO, Chuck and Jay Redstone, both of Delaware, as well as her sister Gertrude Rutunno of Media, PA.
Funeral services will be held Friday, December 1, 2023, at 1:00 PM in the St. Paul Lutheran Church, 201 NJ-31, Flemington, NJ. Visitation will be from 12 Noon, Friday until the time of the service at the church. Burial will follow in Locust Grove Cemetery, Quakertown, NJ under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ.
