After her retirement, Edna was a seasonal employee for the IRS.
A member of the Allentown Methodist Church for over 20 years, Edna was also member of the Falls Twp. Board of Senior Citizens where she served as a Board Chairman and a member of the Princeton Elks # 2129 where she served as a officer and was named Elk of the Year.

Edna was also predeceased by her brothers, Charles Wesley Schisler and Donald Schisler. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Judith and Robert Cherry of Stockton; 2 grandchildren, Paige DiRoberto of Pittstown, NJ and Heath Cherry of Stockton; 2 great grandchildren, Noah and Georgia DiRoberto and several nieces and nephews including two special nieces, Karen Palmer currently of Frederick, MD and Carol Sarapata of Levittown, PA. She is also survived by her step-daughter and son-in-law, Janet and Chris Sauerbry.
Edna loved life and embraced all she could. She loved her family and they loved her when they could find her as she traveled as much as she could. Children were special, but she adored babies. If you needed help, she would try to help you. Baseball was her favorite and the Phillies were always her team. She was a coach to a little league team back in the very early sixties, there were no other women coaching little league teams. She wanted to teach the game she loved and wanted the kids to have fun. Winning was only secondary to having fun. For her, however, in her endeavors, she wanted to win! Yes, life was to be enjoyed!
