Born in Toronto, Canada on October 11, 1906, she was the daughter of the late Louis G. Melder and Mary Carwardine. She was employed as a dental laboratory proprietor in Rochester, NY. Edith was predeceased by her husband, Lewis G. Barker. The burial was private.
