Dorothy Opdyke

June 17, 1920 — March 31, 1998

Dorothy Opdyke, 77, of Clinton Township, died Tuesday, March 31, in Rolling Hills Care Center in Clinton.

She was formerly employed by RCA in Bridgewater, NJ. At one time, she was employed by Singer Corp. and Dural Rubber Co., both of Flemington.

Born June 17, 1920, in Califon, she was a daughter of the late Benjamin and Beulah Hendershot. She lived most of her life in Delaware Township until moving to Rolling Hills Care Center last year.

Her husband Harold James died in 1984.

She is survived by two sons, George Price Sr. of Stockton, NJ, and Stanley Price of Milford; an adopted daughter, Eleanor Imhoff of Flemington; three foster sons, Frank Gano of Flemington, James Gano of Alpha, and Harry Gano of Frenchtown; a brother James Hendershot of Port Colden; four sisters, Ruth Evans and Helen Russo, both of High Bridge, Eleanor Walker of Pittstown, and Sybilla Beam of Califon; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday from the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main St., Flemington. Call 9 a.m. to time of services in the funeral home. Burial will be in Rosemont Cemetery in Rosemont, NJ.
