Clara McCrea, age 91 years, of Tuckerton, NJ, died November 7, 1981 in the home of her daughter, Helen Bennett, with whom she resided.
Mrs. McCrea was a retired teacher, having taught in one-room schools in Hunterdon County and in the Flemington-Raritan elementary school system. She retired in 1965.
Born in Shenandoah, PA, on February 8, 1890, she was the daughter of the late John and Sarah Botham Bunn. She resided in Cherryville, NJ, for most of her life and in Tuckerton for the last six years.
Mrs. McCrea was a member of the Cherryville Baptist Church and the church's Service Guild. She was a member of Quakertown Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary and the Retired Teachers Association of Hunterdon County.
Her husband, Mathias McCrea, died in 1975 and a daughter, Lois Horvath, died in 1978.
Surviving in addition to her daughter are two sons, William, of Cherryville, and John, of Lincoln, Nebraska; 11 grandchildren. 17 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held in Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, Flemington. Interment was in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Mt. Pleasant, NJ.
