Christopher M. Russo, a respected economist, was born on July 21, 1992, in Somerville, New Jersey, and passed away on January 25, 2026, in Milford, New Jersey.
Christopher’s dedication to his profession was evident through his impactful work with the United States Congress and the Federal Reserve Banks of New York and Chicago, where he contributed significantly to economic policy and analysis. He was a graduate of Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey, and was pursuing his Doctorate at George Mason University in Virginia.
Christopher’s intelligence and keen insight were matched only by his warm demeanor and genuine kindness. He built a reputation not just for his analytical abilities, but also for his collaborative spirit, forming lasting connections with colleagues and all who had the privilege of working alongside him.
He is survived by his loving father, Michael Russo of Leland, North Carolina; his brother, Nicholas Russo of Leland, North Carolina; and his sister, Meghan Callahan of Bedminster, New Jersey. He is also survived by his grandmothers, Joan Russo of Howell, New Jersey, and Marie Callahan of Bedminster, New Jersey.
Christopher was predeceased by his mother, Cathleen M. Callahan, whose memory remains a guiding light in their lives, and by his grandfathers, Michael A. Russo and Thomas Callahan, who are fondly remembered.
As we reflect on Christopher’s life and contributions, we honor his legacy of dedication, compassion, and excellence. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
