Charles Drenkhahn, age 77 years, of Three Bridges, NJ (Readington Township), died on Wednesday, June 30, 2004 at the Hunterdon Care Center, Raritan Township, NJ.

Born in New York City, August 13, 1926, son of the late carl and Ethel DeGeorge Drenkhahn, he had resided in the Three Bridges area fifty-six years.

He was a serviceman with Ferrell Gas Co., Three Bridges, NJ, retiring in 1999. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of WWII.

He was a member of the Three Bridges Reformed Church for fifty years; a member and past-president of the Three Bridges Fire Company and also a member of its Exempt Firemens Association; former leader of Boy Scout Troop #186 of Three Bridges; and was also a member of the Three Bridges Veterans of Foreign Wars Post.

Surviving are his wife, Emma Allegar Drenkhahn; a son, Edward Drenkhahn of Flemington, NJ; a daughter, Sue Drenkhahn of Holland, Michigan; a granddaughter, Elizabeth Drenkhahn of Flemington, NJ; and his foster father, William Kingman of Martinsville, NJ. He was pre-deceased by his twin brother, Edward Drenkhahn.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. in the Three Bridges Reformed Church, Main Street, Three Bridges, NJ. Interment will follow in Three Bridges Cemetery.
