Charles A. Smith, age 75 years, of Flemington, NJ, died January 31, 1981 in Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Township.
Born in Stanton, he had been a resident of the Flemington area all his life.
He was a self-employed plumber before his retirement in 1972. A Navy veteran of World War II, he was a member of the Disabled American Veterans. He was past president of the Delaware Valley Plumbing Contractor's Association.
He is survived by his wife, Catherine M. Smith; a son, Charles A. Smith, Jr.; a daughter, Miss Judith Smith, both of Flemington; two brothers, William Smith of New Providence and David Smith of Plainfield; and two sisters, Mrs. Leila Hildabrant of Whitehouse and Mrs. Helen Alpaugh of Middlesex.
Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Magdalen Church, Flemington. Interment was in St. Magdalen Cemetery, Flemington.
